I have reinstalled the capture driver twice and I have tried both composite and s-video.
I can get the video out to work, so I don't think it is a hardware issue, but I am beginning to wonder.
I would like any suggestions.
I had to uninstall while in Safe Mode and reinstalled the 1.
I had a bad one that made me think video-in was broken, till I tried another cable.
If you're able to do it, a wipe and reinstallation may help.
One last hint: The 1.
It can be fixed this way: Get a copy of the 1.

I have a very little known trick you can use to install a driver that will work in every respect, except you will not have Aero, but you will be able to change the screen resolution and have graphics acceleration.

Click on the Update Driver button.
Select the 'Browse my computer for Software' method, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Upon reboot, you should have decent graphics but again, no Aero.

Once the drivers are installed attach the adapter and install the software.
I would suggest you to uninstall the drivers for the adapter from the system and then reinstall it and check whether the issue is resolved.
